This installation is a creative response
to our turbulently shifting times.
All 100+ images were created within the past 12 months.
I honor the resilient pathfinders throughout America and the world
who are striving to find hope and balance
even while the expected securities of their realities are torn apart
by natural and manmade disasters.

"Bear Territory"
6"x6.5"
Gouache

Open Studios is May 5 & 6. I'd love to see you.
I have many new pieces to share.

By the Way
My year-long project (many, many paintings, and all miniatures) is now at an advanced stage and takes up a lot of space. For SVOS I have had to move the work-in-progress out of the studio in order to make room for visitors. The exhibition of the year-long project will be from September 6 to October 21, in the Studio Gallery at PMA.

This will be an installation style exhibit, meaning it is built to fill the space of this particular gallery, and can only be understood through the context of visiting the exhibition as presented then. Once the show is over the exhibit no longer exists. The show is basically about a year of Flow that moves the visitor around the room, experiencing the year in sequence. When the show ends in October the individual parts will turn back into particles that take up a different and separate kind of space and meaning. These particles will be filed away in my studio.

Ted Provides Quite a Lesson

My yearlong project has new and powerful influences. The horrors of child shootings. My father (Ted) passing away. Insight-filled teachings from masterfully peaceful people who understand the light in darkness, pain and death.

A small essay that explains a bit of what I've been recently exploring is here.

The weather is misty right now. Our roots are being watered. Grow strong and flourish this spring.
